THE COMPANY HOWEVER BOASTS  STAFF AND CONTRACTORS WITH A  BACKGROUND OF PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE  OF THE FLOORING TRADE THAT IS RIVALED BY  ONLY A FEW  OF THE CURRENT COMPETITORS…..BIG WORDS   PERHAPS  BUT  MAYBE NO   AS WE FEEL THAT THE OVERALL  STANDARD  OF  QUALITY OF THE FLOORING TRADE IN TODAYS  MARKET  IS TO PUT IT MILDLY RUBBISH AND NEEDS A MASSIVE SHAKE UP.

AS A FAMILY BUSINESS IT IS OUR REALISATION THAT THE ONLY REAL THING THAT MATTERS IN THIS TRADE  AS WITH ANY OTHER TRADE  IS THE SUPPLY OF A QUALITY SERVICE.

QUALITY SERVICE ……….WELL THAT COSTS MORE   !!!

WELL NO IT DOESN’T   IM TALKING ABOUT SERVICE   NOT JUST THE PRODUCT  IN MOST INSTANCES IT COSTS NOTHING  EXTRA TO INCREASE THE STANDARD  OF ONES SERVICE.

AT HEATHWOOD WE REALISE THAT ABOVE ALL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS THE BEST WAY OF GETTING REPEAT BUSINESS  AND REFERALS WHICH IS THE BLOOD OF A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS WITHOUT THAT ITS A STRUGGLE.

WE REALISE THAT EVERYBODY WILL HAVE DIFFERENT BUDGETS WHETHER IT BE A CHEAP CORD CARPET OR AN EXPENSIVE WOOL CARPET.AT HEATHWOOD  OUR STAFF ARE TRAINED TO TREAT EVERYBODY WITH THE  SAME STANDARD OF SERVICE NO MATTER WHAT THEY DECIDE TO BUY.

I WAS TALKING TO A FRIEND THE OTHER DAY  HE SAID TO ME …….”Me and the wife go shopping every week i hate it cos by the end of the week im shattered and the wife drags me around this supermarket.We get to the till and the women throws the stuff into the trolley at 100 mph and 5 minutes later me and the wife have to find an area in that supermarket amidst a crowd of other people where we  take it back out of the trolley and put it into plastic bags we just paid 5p each for to the women who threw our shopping in the trolley.

TO ME THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AS THE COMPANY HAS DONE THE HARD THING TO GET THIS BUYING CUSTOMER THROUGH THEIR DOORS BUT THEY HAVE PROBABLY LOST FUTURE SALES  AND WITH A BETTER CUSTOMER CARE STRUCTURE THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDABLE.

OUR FAMILY VIEWS ON SELLING IS IF YOU ARE GOING TO SELL YOU SELL PROPERLY WITH NO HALF MEASURES AND IF THATS NOT THE STANDARD THEN DONT SELL.

MANY TRADES  INCLUDING THE FLOORING  INDUSTRY  HAVE  BEEN OFFERED TO THE PUBLIC AT BELOW STANDARD LEVELS ESPECIALLY DURING THE CURRENT RECESSION WHERE RETAILERS ARE TRYING TO CUT CORNERS TO MAKE MORE PROFIT .

FLOORING RETAILERS ESPECIALLY THE LARGER BETTER KNOWN ONES WHERE THE MAJORITY OF THE PUBLIC HAVE BOUGHT FROM ARE LITTERED WITH STAFF WHO HAVE LITTLE OR NO TRAINING  AND  KNOWLEDGE OF THE ART  OF FLOORING  AND CONSEQUENTLY CUSTOMERS HAVE BEEN GIVEN BAD ADVICE.
