THE RANGE  HAS COLOURS  WITHIN IT THAT ARE JUST NOT AVAILABLE  IN OTHER RANGES  AND INCLUDES  COORDINATING  PLAIN TO MATCH  THE STRIPE PART OF THE RANGE .

The standard of any carpet fitting is very much affected by good floor preparation prior to fitting such as making sure the sub floor is clean and level and fitted properly with the correct flooring accessories .Not only does good floor preparation enhance the look of a carpet but also the lifespan of a carpet .All carpets hold a manufacturers guarantee provided they are fitted professionally in the correct areas with the recommended accessories using the correct fitting methods. The quality of underlay  is vital to the look,feel and wear of a newly fitted carpet and at Heathwood carpets we do not compromise when it comes to the underlays we supply .We recommend cosy 10mm felt underlay or one of the ranges of cloud 9 such as cloud 9 cumulus and for that extra bit of luxury the latest one on the market caviar and champagne 11mm  which is arguably the very best underlay available on the domestic market.We recommend customers always buy a felt underlay compared to the traditional rubber underlays as a felt underlay is not affected by heat and does not melt and crumble like a rubber underlay aswell as being better for sound insulation. OF COURSE  THE  UNDERLAY  HAS TO BE FITTED PROPERLY !!!! Do you know certain things really annoys me  because people in this trade  think that if a customer  dont see it  then it is ok to cut corners  …………..if you look at the following pictures you will see what i mean  the first picture is the correct way to fit underlay on a stair tred with the tred and riser fully fitted  from gripper to gripper with underlay cut tidy  and the second picture a stair tred that is fitted the wrong way with the riser exposed and underlay cut poorly.The unfortunate thing is and this is a fact that if you lift up your fitted carpet now you are more likely to see something more likely to look like the second picture! its quite embarrassing in years to come when you change your carpet when you lift  your carpet up for the first time after 5 or 10 years when you see this  what do you think of that retailer now ?  are you surprised that your carpet has gone flat or bald  quicker than you expected? please note both of these models were fitted by Heathwood carpets  the second image  was reconstructed by us from jobs that we have seen and to be honest over the course of 25 years  some of our many contractors we have used may have unfortunately and unknowingly to our knowledge fitted this way ……alas no longer ‘ above  stair tred fitted correctly below stair tred fitted poorly …..a total mess
